The filigree (掐丝) technique used in their production is one of China's intangible cultural heritage handicraft techniques. Craftsmen carefully bend and shape metal wires into the outline of butterflies. Every line is smooth and natural, as if it were created naturally. The thickness of the metal wires can not only outline the beautiful curvature of the butterfly wings, but also ensure the stability of the structure. In terms of detail handling, it also demonstrates the craftsmen's superb skills.
